Studio Policies and waivers
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and creative environment for all students. The following policies help set clear expectations and protect both families and our studio.
Behavior expectation
Happy Capy Art Studio is committed to providing a respectful, kind, and creative learning environment where all students can feel safe and supported.
Students are expected to come to class ready to participate, follow instructions, and treat others with respect. We understand that occasional reminders and redirection are a normal part of working with children. However, ongoing disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior interferes with the learning experience for everyone.
If a student exhibits repeated inappropriate behavior, parents will be notified by text, phone call, or in person. If behavior continues and significantly disrupts the class, a parent may be asked to pick up their child early. In such cases, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed class time.
Happy Capy Art Studio is not equipped to provide one-on-one behavioral support. If a child has significant behavioral, emotional, or support needs that impact their ability to participate safely in a group setting, this studio may not be the right fit at this time. Our goal is to ensure a positive experience for all students, and we appreciate families partnering with us to help maintain a supportive classroom environment.
By enrolling in a Happy Capy Art Studio program, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these behavior expectations.
Attendance & Pick-Up Policy
Attendance
Happy Capy Art Studio classes are designed as ongoing group experiences, and students are encouraged to attend regularly. We understand that illness, family needs, or scheduling conflicts may occasionally prevent attendance. However, because class sizes are limited and materials are prepared in advance, no make-ups, refunds, or credits are offered for missed classes.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Students should arrive on time and be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class. Happy Capy Art Studio is unable to provide supervision outside of scheduled class times.
If a student is not picked up within 10 minutes of class ending, we may attempt to contact the parent or emergency contact on file. Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional fees or dismissal from the program.
Early Pick-Up
If a student needs to be picked up early, families are asked to notify the instructor in advance whenever possible. In situations where a parent is contacted due to behavior concerns and asked to pick up their child early, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed class time.
Release of Students
For safety reasons, students will only be released to individuals listed on the registration form or to those authorized in advance by a parent or guardian.
By enrolling in a Happy Capy Art Studio program, families acknowledge that they have read and agree to this Attendance & Pick-Up Policy.
Tuition & refund policy
Tuition secures a student’s place in a class or program and helps cover instructional time, preparation, and art materials. Because class sizes are limited and supplies are purchased in advance, all tuition payments are non-refundable.
Enrollment in a weekly class reflects a commitment to the full school year (September–April). While formal contracts are not required, families are expected to honor this commitment in order to maintain consistent class groups and allow for thoughtful planning and preparation.
Tuition is billed according to the payment schedule selected at registration, and payments must remain current for a student to attend class. We are unable to offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for missed classes, including absences due to illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts, as the student’s spot and materials have already been reserved.
We understand that unexpected or extenuating circumstances may arise. Families are encouraged to communicate with us in advance if challenges occur. These situations are considered on a case-by-case basis and do not guarantee a refund or credit.
By enrolling in a Happy Capy Art Studio program, families acknowledge that they have read and agree to this Tuition & Refund Policy.
Liability waiver & release
In consideration of participation in classes, camps, workshops, paint nights, or events offered by Happy Capy Art Studio, a program operated by Kristell Fox Designs, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kristell Fox Designs (dba Happy Capy Art Studio) from any claims brought by or on behalf of myself or my child related to participation in studio activities.
This waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted under the laws of the State of Utah. If any portion of this waiver is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
By enrolling myself or my child in programs offered by Happy Capy Art Studio, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Liability Waiver and Release.
